CO₂ storage requires projects that prioritize safety, reliability, and long-term responsibility. SEW Energy is involved in onshore and offshore CCS projects that combine existing infrastructure and new applications. Drawing on our experience with complex energy installations, we contribute to projects that are technically sound and remain manageable, even in the long term.
One example is our contribution to large-scale offshore CCS projects in the North Sea, where captured CO₂ is stored in former gas fields deep beneath the seabed. SEW Energy applies its expertise to these projects, focusing on coherence, implementation, and safety. This way, we make a concrete contribution to CCS solutions that not only work theoretically but also hold up in practice.
