SEW Energy took an important step in its sustainability ambition in October with the installation of 324 solar panels at the production site. This investment is the result of a carefully calculated analysis, with the installation fully tailored to the company's own energy consumption.
For an organization with an energy-intensive production process, this means that a significant portion of the required electricity is now generated in-house. The first results are immediately visible: during recent cold but sunny days, approximately 20% of the total energy consumption generated sustainably.
With this investment, SEW Energy is reducing its CO₂ emissions and strengthening its focus on more efficient and future-oriented business practices. The solar panels represent a concrete milestone in the broader strategy to structurally integrate sustainable innovations into its operations.
