What are you going to do
As a Welding Coordinator | QC Engineer, you are responsible for monitoring the quality of welding activities and production processes. You ensure that work complies with applicable standards, customer specifications, and internal requirements. In doing so, you collaborate daily with production, the warehouse, project teams, and HSEQ. You support colleagues with technical issues and ensure that documentation remains complete and up-to-date. You also play an active role in inspections, checks, and audits. With your knowledge, you maintain control over quality and progress within ongoing projects.
- Coordinating welding procedures, qualifications, and certifications
- Drafting and managing WPSs, WPQs, and PQRs
- Supervise the correct execution of welding work in accordance with standards and specifications.
- Performing and supporting QC controls, sampling, and inspections
- Monitoring traceability, quality records, and reporting
- Guiding audits and external inspection bodies
What does your workday look like?
You start the day by coordinating ongoing work. Afterwards, you check whether the correct procedures, certificates, and documents are available for the work being performed. Throughout the day, you advise project teams and production on technical welding issues. You propose necessary welding procedures to execute the process efficiently and to a sufficiently high standard.
When inspections are scheduled, you accompany them and ensure that files are complete.
In between, you update quality records and assess whether additional actions are required. At the end of the day, you ensure that outstanding items are clearly documented and the next tasks are prepared.
