What are you going to do
As Warehouse & Logistics Manager at SEW Energy, you are ultimately responsible for the entire warehouse: from organization and administration to transport and logistical coordination. You ensure that everything is correct — so that our projects can be executed safely, on time, and according to schedule.
In addition, you manage the warehouse team and work on improving processes, safety, and quality within the warehouse. You collaborate daily with colleagues from Project Teams, the Workshop, and Purchasing, among others. You are the connecting link between these disciplines and ensure overview, structure, and continuity.
What does your workday look like?
You start the day with a meeting with the warehouse team and discuss the schedule, priorities, and ongoing work.
Throughout the day, you monitor the progress of logistical processes, support the team with operational issues, and maintain contact with the project teams, the workshop, and other stakeholders. You ensure a safe and organized working environment and identify opportunities for improvement within the warehouse organization.
In addition, you work on process optimizations and ensure that improvements are implemented structurally. At the end of the workday, you check the progress of the planned activities, update the administration, and prepare the logistics plan for the next workday.
Your duties include, among other things:
- Managing, guiding, and further developing the warehouse team.
- Coordinating and monitoring all warehouse and logistics processes.
- Initiating and implementing improvements within warehouse and logistics processes.
- You assist the Logistics Planner with coordinating transport, material flows, and logistics planning with internal departments and external parties.
- Monitoring inventory management, order, safety, and quality within the warehouse.
- Identifying bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to support project progress.
